The Key to Achieving Success – Prioritize

Home » The Key to Achieving Success – Prioritize

That’s right. It seems simple, but it’s one of the hardest things to accomplish consistently and effectively.

I have a good friend who is the most hard-working individual I know; however, he also accomplishes very little. He works ten hours a day and accomplishes three hours of work.

How can that be? Hard work should equate to accomplishments, success, and satisfaction. It’s not because of effort or desire; it’s due to a lack of ability to prioritize. Physicists have a phrase. “Constant motion”, which means perpetual movement.

In some respects that describes our life, and in shorter terms, our day. Priorities, like it or not, are organic. They’re in constant motion. The key is the ability to recognize when priorities need to adjusted.

Throughout the day your priorities should, and will, change dozens, if not hundreds of times. Successful people learn to recognize and adapt almost in an instant.  Practice adjusting your daily priorities on the fly and making it an intuitive reaction.
